About Paul Blundell
Paul Blundell, Co-Founder and Director of Grid-Tools
A seasoned software developer, Paul Blundell has nearly 30 years of experience creating and implementing dynamic and accomplished IT solutions, with particular focus on relational database problems. He has been responsible for the design, development and project management of several large database applications for large government organisations, financial institutions and multinational companies, providing personalised solutions that fit individual company requirements. Paul has a Bachelors Degree in Civil and Structural Engineering, and a Masters Degree in Computer Science from University College London, demonstrating his extensive capabilities. His experience, originality and ability to develop completely unique solutions means he can be counted as one of the industry’s top thought leaders.
Paul and Huw’s experience in the field and passion for creating ‘best of breed’ products led them to establish Grid-Tools in 2004. It was recognised that there was a gap in the market for building process controls for various IT functions that were timely and effective. Other companies had tried and failed to do this whilst providing solutions that met the requirements of individual projects, so Datamaker™ was created to fill this gap and go above and beyond any other solution in the market.
As a Co-Founder and Director of Grid-Tools, Paul's responsibilities include the management of software development processes and oversight of the technical team. He believes that the success of Grid-Tools depends not only on the product, but successfully managing the team of people that bring it together.
