Data Inheritance

"Data Inheritance" is a concept and philosophy of Grid-Tools, specifically developed and defined by our senior team of software developers. It is based around the functionality of the Datamaker Suite.

Do you have problems managing and controlling your test data? Where do you store it after it has been created and can it be re-used? Datamaker brings all of your test data (in multiple formats) into one location. This includes test data that has been previously created and data created via Datamaker.

All of the data is brought into the tool, or the ‘Test Data Warehouse’, where it can be inherited.  By “inherited” we mean “re-used” again and again, across versions.  Testers can manipulate, edit, explode and enhance old test data and modify it based on the type of test they are conducting. By inheriting test data, testers can save loads of time and energy otherwise spent on manually creating cases.
