announces today the launch of their newest data masking solution, Simple
Data Masking. The tool will offer end-customers basic, easy-to-use data
obfuscation for small to medium sized projects at a highly competitive
price. Systems analysts will be able to choose from a rich array of
standard functions and standard seed tables complemented by their own
custom masking functions. The masking rules will be stored in spread
sheets and users will be able to utilize just one tool for all major
database types and file formats, including flat files. The tool can also
provide an audit of exactly what has been masked and can ensure that
data is converted to the same masked value across applications and
across different database types. The cross database masking allows users
to guarantee the business integrity allowing end-to-end tests on

The tool has already been sold into a large business intelligence solutions provider based in Boston in the United States. Power Advocate, specialists in business intelligence platforms for the energy industry, required the solution to de-identify production data for application development.
