"After three months of manually attempting to create the data we needed, I cannot begin to explain how important this tool has been for the success of this project. I mean, thank God we had the Datamaker tool! I don’t know what we would have done without it. It is inconceivable to even consider it. Now everyone, all of the developers on our team, they are all pleased with how simple the process is. We no longer struggle and we no longer worry about using bad data. Any data can be created that we need."

Datamaker ™ features and descriptions

Model data

Build up a picture of how your tables link together with rapid discovery techniques such as database constraints, naming standards, scanning table joins and output from case tools. Extract and store production data characteristics, including lists of values, maximums, minimums and data ranges.

Multi-function SQL Window

One powerful, multi-function SQL window allows you to intelligently browse your data and manage all database objects – across all schema. You can save, copy and edit data in spreadsheet format. Write, store and run your SQL files, create parameters for standard SQL queries, as well as retrieve, edit and compile procedural SQL.

Other features include:
  • Multiple tab support for queries
  • Can allow multiple connections
  • Maintenance wizard support for objects, such as indexes and constraints
  • View and edit database synonyms

Data integrity checker

Check any application rules you create against your actual data to verify its integrity. Can be used to check data in production, or before and after a system test, to make sure system tests have been successful.

Schema definition comparison

Quickly compare schemas to identify differences (such as missing, new or changed objects) between table definitions. Underlying objects such as Indexes, Primary Keys and PL/SQL are also identified.

Version tracking

Version or build information can be stored so that the exact definition of your database structure is captured. This can be compared across schemas or versions to identify any differences between various releases.

Data comparison

Identify data that has changed in your database during development, system testing or problem tracking. Allows you to identify updates, inserts and deletes that have occurred during a specified period and produce HTML and XML reports (in either summary or detailed format) of all changed data. Run high performance parallel compares by selecting specific groups of tables, or compare one schema to another.

Data browsing

Quickly browse from selected rows to related rows in other tables. Use any database or application relationship to travel through your data.
