Using comprehensive data discovery functionality, Fast Data Masking™ is able to identify and uncover all potentially sensitive data in the project. This can then be masked using an extensive range of built-in and user-defined masking functions, including: randomisation, substitution, hashing, shuffling and encryption/decryption algorithms, to ensure full regulatory compliance.

Fast Data Masking™ also ensures that your masked data maintains its referential and business integrity by applying these masking rules consistently across all data sources, tables and executions within the project. This is done automatically, but can also be achieved manually by using the cross-referencing feature.

Fast Data Masking™ also offers secure dynamic data masking, extracting data into a staging area and passing it through a masked view, before building shadow tables. This is quicker than trying to mask large volumes in situ and more secure than using SQL interception techniques for dynamic masking.
